Shoreline Trail

General Information

To the East of Port Dalhousie begins the North-end of St. Catharines, known for its quiet residential neighbourhoods.   The trail starts along Westcliffe Park, which has public parking on Lighthouse Road at the Marina.  The neighbourhod behind the park used to be a fruit farm belonging to the Boese family.  The fruit farm also had a canning factory located onsite, which produced Boese brand canned fruit products.  The trail continues along the lakeshore, with a detour along Lake Street and Lakeshore Road, and passes through another residential neighourhood until it reaches Belmont and Spring Garden Parks, which have benches and good views of Lake Ontario and its shorelines.

The trail runs from Michigan Beach in Port Dalhousie to Lantana Circle in northern St. Catharines. A detour occurs between Shore Boulevard and Beachview Drive.
